This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Phorcast Ltd, a company incorporated under the laws of the British Virgin Islands ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information relating to users ("you") of the prediction markets platform available at phorcast.com (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
1. Introduction
This Policy governs all information collection, processing, and protection across the Platform, including account creation, market participation, deposits and withdrawals, and communications with us. It applies to all users of the Platform, whether registered or visiting.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with any part of it, you must stop using the Platform. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, which it forms part of.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Account Information
Information you provide when you create or maintain an Account, depending on the authentication method you choose:
- Email address, and where you use a social login, the profile identifier and basic details provided by that provider (for example Google, X, or Apple)
- Public blockchain wallet addresses you connect to or use with the Platform
- Display name and any optional profile details you choose to provide
- Your communications with us, including support requests
We do not require identity documents to open an Account. However, we may request proof of age, identity, or source of funds where required by law, where a withdrawal exceeds a threshold we set, or where we have reasonable concerns about fraud, sanctions, or prohibited activity. Where requested, this may include your full name, date of birth, address, and government-issued identification.
2.2 Transaction and Blockchain Information
Because the Platform settles in cryptocurrency, we collect and retain:
- Deposit addresses assigned to you, deposit and withdrawal transaction hashes, amounts, currencies, and timestamps
- All positions placed on the Platform, including markets, stakes, prices, outcomes, and resolution data
- Your Platform account balance and balance history
- Destination wallet addresses you specify for withdrawals
2.3 Usage and Device Information
Information collected automatically when you use the Platform:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and time zone
- Access times, session duration, pages and features used, and referring URLs
- Trading patterns, error reports, and other diagnostic data
We collect this information through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies. See Section 7 for more detail on cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal information for the following purposes:
- Operating the Platform — creating and maintaining your Account, authenticating you, processing deposits, trades, and withdrawals, resolving markets, and providing customer support
- Security and integrity — detecting and preventing fraud, market manipulation, multiple-account abuse, and unauthorised access, and protecting the Platform and its users
- Legal and regulatory compliance — enforcing our eligibility and jurisdiction restrictions, screening wallet addresses against sanctions lists, meeting anti-money-laundering obligations, and responding to lawful requests from authorities
- Risk management — monitoring trading activity and exposure so that we can operate the Platform safely
- Platform improvement — analysing usage to fix problems, improve performance, and develop new features
- Communications — sending service notices, transaction confirmations, security alerts, and, where you have opted in, marketing communications
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfil these purposes, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Transaction records may be retained for longer periods where required by law.
4. How We Share Your Information
We may share your personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — third parties who provide services on our behalf, including authentication and wallet infrastructure, blockchain node and data providers, oracle and price-feed providers, blockchain analytics and sanctions-screening providers, cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, and customer support. These providers are contractually bound to protect your information and to use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Affiliates — companies within our corporate group that assist in operating the Platform, subject to the same confidentiality obligations
- Legal requirements — where required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process, including court orders, subpoenas, and requests from regulators, law enforcement, or sanctions authorities
- Protection of rights — where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public, or to investigate suspected fraud or prohibited activity
- Corporate transactions — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of all or part of our business, in which case your information may be transferred to the successor entity
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Restricted access controls, so that personal information is accessible only to authorised personnel and service providers who need it
- Segregated wallet infrastructure with the majority of customer funds held in cold storage
- Monitoring, logging, and regular review of our systems
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, wallet private keys, and seed phrases secure. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any relevant authority as required by applicable law.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- Access — to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — to request that inaccurate or incomplete information is corrected
- Deletion — to request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and regulatory retention obligations
- Restriction and objection — to request that we restrict, or to object to, certain processing

- Essential cookies — required for the Platform to function, including authentication and security
- Preference cookies — remembering settings such as theme and language
- Analytics cookies — helping us understand usage and performance
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working correctly.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in the British Virgin Islands and use service providers located in other countries. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored, and processed in jurisdictions other than the one in which you live, which may have different data protection laws. By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to such transfers. Where we transfer information originating from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we implement appropriate safeguards, which may include standard contractual clauses.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it and close the associated Account. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to us, please contact us at support@phorcast.com.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, wallets, or services, including wallet providers and fiat on-ramp providers. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service before using it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide notice through the Platform or by email to the address associated with your Account.
